Where is The Course Taught?

Each month, you’ll continue your journey with me online, building on the foundations you’ve already laid in Year One. From wherever you are, we’ll move through the seasons together, deepening your understanding of plants, patterns, and practice.

Teaching is shared through a layered mix of recorded videos, focused teachings, e-books, and guided reflections. Rather than simply learning new information, you’ll be invited to integrate what you already know, linking plants, elements, Welsh culture, and case studies into a more coherent way of working.

As the months unfold, we’ll explore new native plants alongside the Three Elements of Welsh Medicine, learning how and why different remedies suit different people, times, and constitutions. Welsh cultural teachings and folk calendar traditions will provide context and depth, helping you understand Wild Welsh Medicine as a living, place-based practice rather than a set of techniques.

Each month also includes a live Zoom session. These are spaces for conversation, shared learning, and reflection, bringing together case studies, medicine-making experiences, and insights from your own practice. This is where understanding deepens and confidence grows.

Year Two is not about learning more herbs for the sake of it. It’s about slowing down even further, seeing patterns, refining your thinking, and developing a more intuitive, grounded relationship with both plants and people.

Whether you’re working with a full garden, foraging locally, or tending a few well-loved plants, this course supports you in moving from knowledge into wisdom, and from technique into true relationship with the medicine.

Year-Long Support

To support your learning throughout the year, you’ll have access to a rich library of online videos and eBooks released monthly, allowing you to explore each theme at your own pace and return to the material whenever you need.

Alongside this, a private Year Two WhatsApp group will be set up as a shared space for discussion, questions, and inspiration. This is where ideas, reflections, and case studies can be explored together between teachings.

You’ll also be invited to monthly live Zoom sessions, offering time for deeper conversation, shared learning, and connection. These live gatherings allow us to bring the teachings to life, reflect on your experiences, and weave together the many strands of the course as they unfold.

What Are The Dates for The Zoom Sessions?

You’ll be part of 12 live Zoom sessions, held monthly as we move through the seasonal cycle together. These live gatherings offer space to ask questions, explore case studies, share your medicine-making experiences, and deepen your understanding through shared reflection.

We will meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm (UK time), creating a steady, reliable rhythm that supports integration rather than overwhelm.

WARNING! SIDE EFFECTS OF CONTINUING YOUR HERBAL JOURNEY:

  • Your herb cupboard may officially become an apothecary
  • Labels may start including elements, dates, and intentions
  • Walks may turn into quiet conversations with plants and place
  • You may find yourself tracking Welsh seasons, festivals, and old ways
  • You may start thinking in patterns, not symptoms
  • You may feel calmer knowing why a remedy works

You’ve been warned 🌿

Salena Walker: I am a fully qualified Herbalist, Naturopath and Nutritionist, living on ten acres of land with my partner, with whom I built a wooden cabin at the edge of our woodland. This is our permanent home and the centre of our natural lifestyle. My mission in life is to connect others to their internal and external environment, focusing on connecting their body back to nature.

I feel as if I have been studying naturopathy and herbalism since a young child, as I explored making herbal infusions for hay fever, experimented with potions and spent time filling jars with petals and flowers.  I discovered the stillness and healing power of nature amongst the beautiful Welsh landscape in the Valleys of South Wales, where I grew up.

My real deep dive into the world of naturopathy and herbalism began back in 2008. I started to become very tired. In fact, the word ‘tired’ does not even begin to describe how I felt. Neither myself, nor my doctor, had any idea of what was wrong. I was finally diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Pernicious Anaemia. I believed the diagnosis, but was too stubborn to accept the prognosis. And so my journey began… I started my studies with the intention of learning, but eventually found the way to healing my autoimmune dis-ease and ended up becoming a practitioner, a naturopathic and herbalist teacher, writer and a motivational wellness speaker!

Plants have played a key role in my life journey. One of my main reasons for choosing to live in the woods is to be able to connect with the plants every day and night and throughout all seasons. Over the years I have lived on our land, I have reignited my love of the plants and I have cultivated deep friendships with the native plants. I love spending the days with my hands deep in the rich earth and I have spent years getting to know each plant as an individual being but also understanding their role in the whole plant kingdom.

I am passionate about living the naturopathic way, at one with nature. My hope is that I will inspire aspects of your own transformational journey. My aim is to empower people with the tools they need for their own healing journey, back to nature.

Salena’s passion for her topic was infectious and her teaching style won my cynical nature over relatively quickly. The course made me realise how far my diet had drifted from a balanced one.

Positive, motivating and refreshing. Salena just makes me believe I can achieve anything I set my mind to! An absolutely brilliant and truly inspiring teacher that I am forever grateful to have had the pleasure of being her student!

Salena is a natural when it comes to sharing her knowledge and gets the course content across in an easy to understand way, with great encouragement and humour.

Salena “talks the talk and walks the walk”.....I would recommend Salena and the course to anyone wishing to revolutionise their physical and psychological health. It’s been a sea-change in my life and I am truly grateful for it
